Flora Petty does her best to 'rule the roost' at the Paradise Lodge retirement home. Her friend Cissie Lupin is often drawn into Flora's schemes, usually against her better judgement. Other residents include Dolly Love, Katy O'Rourke and Mildred Fanshawe. The home is run by Miss Milton and her assistant, Miss Finch.
