'Will & Grace' Revival To End In 2020
NBC announced today that the Will & Grace revival will be coming to an end after three seasons. Together with its original run, the comedy will air a total of 11 seasons and 246 episodes over the span of 21 years. NBC has made it official: Will & Grace is being revived for a return to television during the 2017-2018 season. Rumors of a possible revival had been swirling since last fall, when the cast reunited for a short online special urging Americans to vote in the upcoming presidential election. And while that was done without any involvement from NBC, it was obviously enough to get the network to start seriously considering a continuation of the series.
Will & Grace originally premiered in 1998 and during its eight years on the air became a staple in the peacock network's Must See TV comedy lineup on Thursday nights.
NBC has ordered a 10 episode limited run of Will & Grace for its return in 2017-2018. Original stars Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes, and Megan Mullally are all reprising their roles, with creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan taking on the showrunning duties.
