Tamar's fascination with canine behavior started as a child. When she finished her service as an Israeli Intelligence Officer, she had the opportunity to turn her fascination into observation.
Tamar watched wolves in the wild, marveling at the loving manner by which these wild canines train their young. After studying them with great interest, Tamar theorized that by understanding the language of pack animals, she would be able to unlock the secrets of canine training and behavior modification.
She quickly realized that if the secrets of wolves training their young were applied to dogs, people would then have no reason to use prong collars, choke chains, or abusive language. Observation of the wolves transformed to diligent study, fueled by her discovery and love for animals.
Years later, Tamar had founded Southern California's first totally cage-free boarding and daycare center, aptly called "The Loved Dog Company." Tamar's ability to apply loving guidance, not unlike what she observed in wolf packs, proved successful in both individual and group relationships. As Tamar perfected her technique, her non-violent style attracted the attention of the public and media outlets such as Good Morning America, CNN and USA Today.
