Vital Signs revolves around Rhoda Bradley an ambitious woman who thought her career plans were scuppered when she fell pregnant as a teenager. Now she makes a living as a supermarket assistant and most of the rest of her time is spent looking after her three kids and husband. Wound up by her job our heroine is determined to do something else before it's too late so she decides to become a doctor!
