An "animated reality show" where twenty-two teenagers spend a summer on camera at Camp Wawanakwa. The teens compete against each other to stay on the island and win a $100,000 prize. A satire of survivor reality shows featuring random teenage archetypes vying for the final prize by any means necessary.
Courtney is "The A Type", believes she is a natural born leader, and tends to overestimate the abilities of herself and her fellow contestants. She is put on the Killer Bass in Total Drama Island, where she was nearly voted off early after reminding everyone of being a counselor-in-training and as such deserved to be a leader. Through the series she began a love-hate relationship with Duncan, due to her being a stickler of the rules and his willingness to bend them. Though initially reluctant, she eventually admits she likes him. She was eventually voted off after Harold, the victim of Duncan's many pranks, had tampered with the votes to get revenge on Duncan. Believing to have been wrongly eliminated, she proceeded to sue the series, but briefly holding off on the lawsuit for the special challenge. When she did not qualify for Total Drama Action, she continues her lawsuit. She eventually wins the lawsuit shortly after the second TDA Aftermath episode, and was allowed to compete in Total Drama Action. As terms of her settlement, she was entitled to better treatment than her fellow competitors and contact with the outside world (both for contacting her lawyers and for providing the "Courtney-Cam", a feature on TDA Aftermath), which were dubbed "Courtney's Rules". When she entered the competition, the two teams were competing in a bank heist challenge, where eventually she was allowed to choose the winner; she had chosen Duncan and his team, the Screaming Gaffers. However, this also meant that she would be put on the opposite team, the Killer Grips, where she was unpopular. As one of the conditions of the settlement of the lawsuit, she had invincibility for that episode, which resulted in her vote being the only vote that counted (after everyone else had spoiled their ballots in an attempt to vote Courtney out) - Owen, the winner of Total Drama Island was eliminated instead. Since Owen's elimination, however, Courtney has proven to be a strong leader, nearly single-handedly winning challenges for the Grips, and later for herself when the teams are merged. Due to "Courtney's Rules" and the ordeal of the lawsuit, however, it has become apparent that Chris is willing to bend the rules to get her eliminated - including bringing back Owen as a ringer. Although she denies it, she still has her sights set on Duncan, and has become perhaps even more prone to anger than he is. Courtney was voted off in Top Dog along with Owen by a two way voted by Beth and Duncan. Courtney makes it to TDM.
