Torchwood, a spin-off from the popular sci-fi show Doctor Who, follows a group of investigators working for the secret organisation of the same name. The team specialise in alien technology that has landed on Earth, and crime, whether it be alien or human. The mysterious Captain Jack Harkness is the leader of the equally mysterious Torchwood.

Yer Ged will download and watch them all at once, but I set the TV to turn over when they start, so will be watching them as well. What a good start.!!!!!! can't wait for tonight, Wednesday.
It's even better than I thought it would be!
Everyone has good thins to say. I can't wait to watch it all at the weekend.
It's fricking amazing. How's that! LOL I'm SO disappointed that it's only 5 Episodes. But who knows? Maybe there will be a bit of a surprise once the viewer ratings come in.....I have no evidence or proof that this may be the case, only a dreamers faint hope of deliverance!
Or is that Fraking Amazing? lol
@tamanier agreed total
This was the best bit of old style sci-fi I have seen in years,it reminded me so much of the sci-fi films & shows of the 50's & 60's.
There was edge of the seat suspense, shocking twists & turns,an excellent cast & some very good acting, far better than anything Torchwood has done before!
But where do they go from here?
To those of you who have been waiting to watch it all in one go.
I didn't have your will power to wait. But I will watch it all again, because it was/is good enough for that. I agree with softwizz - see the above comment - and I also agree with gedmen - see above above. Brilliant effort.
Looks like it the last show we will have of Tw though.
Based on the ending.
where do we go from here??????????????
We have to ask the Dr Who. LoL
I agree with Gedmen

We wait and see.
There is one thing we should probably remember from S1E01 however - there is a third Torchwood base, in Glasgow, staffed by "...a very strange man..." as Jack told Gwen at the time. We have heard nothing more about that, but clearly the scriptwriters have written down more on the show's mythology, than has yet been shown on screen. They probably have more scope for a continuation than we can see from here.
Torchwood 3, mmm
maybe , there Torchwood 1 the doctor help out lol.
hope 4 the best .
Thanks for that I must admit I had forgotten that possibility.
I do hope we get more Torchwood.
********* POSSIBLE SPOILER *********
I rather think that Jack has some major amends to make, and while I'm not an expert on Dr. Who, if he does come across "his Doctor", he may get sent back to do just that.
You might also recall, that the woman who 'recruited' or transported him back in 1965 said to him "We needed someone who didn't care." Again, I suspect that this will haunt Jack's conscience and never let him rest, that along with the death of Ianto and his Grandson because he really DOES care, and always did. But then, being a fixed point in space and time, I don't know how long he might be able to go cavorting around with a Time Lord....And hey, he may even be sent back as a form of punishment.
The producers of the show have already stated that Season 4 is all laid out and ready to go depending on the numbers from TW3.
mmmmm thanks that`s good to hear !
Torchwood, like Doctor Who, usually has a declassified episode to go with each regular episode. Does anyone know if Children of the Earth had a Declass series and, if so, where I could find it? Thanks.
Don't think they did this time.
But as I live in UK will check BBC site for you.
From Digital Spy:
Barrowman 'ecstatic about Torchwood'
Wednesday, July 14 2010
John Barrowman has revealed that he is "ecstatic" that Torchwood will return.
The BBC announced last month that there will be a fourth series of the show after teaming up with US cable network Starz.
Barrowman, who plays Captain Jack, has now told TV Choice that he is thrilled with the deal.
"The show is now going to represent the BBC and the UK worldwide even more," he said. "And Starz, the American network, thought we were good enough to take this on board to collaborate and co-produce it with the BBC."
He added: "It's just incredible that we've still got Russell T. Davies, Julie Gardner and Jane Tranter on board. I'm ecstatic. The fans who have stuck by waiting to hear are going to be heavily rewarded."
A catchphrase that fits this news exactly
"Yabba Dabba Dooooooooo"
It's shiny, captain! :-)
