Looking for love can be tricky, but some find it harder than others. Add disability to the equation and it can sometimes seem almost impossible. This uplifting series follows the journeys of several extraordinary singletons as they enter the dating circuit in pursuit of love.
39 year old Richard has discovered something, "people say I'm very good looking so I must be good looking". Richard has Asperger's Syndrome which makes it hard for him to understand other people "it's a social dyslexia: you can see other people but you can't read other people, you don't know what they're thinking at all". This can make dating difficult and in the past, he's unwittingly offended his dates - he stole the chips from Dawn's plate when she wasn't looking and upset Ukrainian born Anna by talking about Chernobyl.
This time round Richard is determined to learn from past mistakes. With a date on the horizon, his Mum Liz helps him rehearse appropriate topics of conversation, plot the route to his date and even work out what table he will sit at, so on the big day he can just focus on acting like a gentleman. Will his hard work pay off when he meets 35 year old charity shop worker Lorien?
