Third Season of 'The Newsroom' Will Be Its Last
HBO's programming president, Michael Lombardo, says that the third season of The Newsroom will be its last season. The third season will premiere this fall.
I honestly don't think this was HBOs decision. This show has SUCH a high powered cast of essential actors and writers, I'm sure too many of them could not commit to a fourth season. I am SO happy to see this show back for one more year.

This show needs to continue! Love, love, love it. Last year, after the conclusion of Season 2, suffering severe Newsroom withdrawal, I was on a river cruise in southern France and turned on the satellite TV the first morning... to see the final episode of Season 2! If anything can top being in the south of France, it would be having my Newsroom buddies there too!

I think Aaron Sorkin is busy writing another show, and from what I've been reading when this show comes up, he's pretty much a one-show-at-a-time kind of writer.
