The Moodys follows a tight-knit, but slightly dysfunctional family of five, all of whom gather in their hometown of Chicago for the "perfect" holiday. From break-ups to arrests to sharing one bathroom, each family member is packing his/her own eccentricities and hiding secrets from the others - as if the holidays were all about carols and eggnog!

Fox Renews 'The Moodys'
Fox announced today that The Moodys has been picked up for Season 2. Coming seven months after the comedy's freshman run, the renewal is somewhat surprising as the show was originally billed as a seemingly one-off holiday event.
The first season of the show followed the titular tight-knit family of five who have all come together for the holiday season in their hometown of Chicago. Sean Sr., his wife Ann, and their three grown children all have their own eccentricities and complications, making for a chaotic and slightly dysfunctional time in the Moody household.
Season 2 will reportedly be shifting away from the holiday theme to focus more on the family's everyday lives. Look for a return during the 2020-2021 season.
