We have been making Cupcakes in a jar for a while. They are perfect to send to our service men over seas. Also, we pack everything we send in popcorn, so they get two treats in one. We will use different flavors of Cupcakes, and Popcorn so they always get a new flavor of treats. When packing the box, make sure to put it all in a big bag and seal it so the popcorn doesn't smashed. If sending plain popcorn do not butter it. Send a bottle of the butter seasoning so they can add it to the popcorn. Another thing we do is when Girl Scout Cookies on sale, we ask people to buy one extra box and donate it to our men over seas. When my son-in-law was over seas, the girl scouts stepped up and sent him 400 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies, along with blankets they had made for them. If you send home baked cookies, a great way to keep them from getting broken during the mailing process, is to put them in Pringle Chip Cans.
Just wanted to share a few of our tricks for treats for our Military.
