The biggest winner is "The Biggest Loser" in this compelling new weight-loss reality drama in which celebrity fitness trainers join with top health experts to help overweight contestants transform their bodies, health and ultimately, their lives. Unique physical challenges, surprising alliances and irresistible temptations make the competition even tougher for the contestants. In the end, "The Biggest Loser" becomes the biggest winner, walking away with a healthier body - and $250,000.
Jacky Kmet shares her biggest motivation for going on "The Biggest Loser": "I want to gain control of my life and return to the active person I once was before I gained the weight. I also want to be a positive role model for my family and show them by example." An only child, Jacky was born in Camp Springs, Maryland, and raised in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. She got a degree in psychobiology from Albright College, and went on to get a master's degree in teaching, student personnel services and education leadership, and policy and management from three different universities. Jacky says her biggest weight gain started after the death of her father when she was 26 years old, and then increased significantly with her first pregnancy when she was 30. Her "aha moment" came when she was at the Jersey Shore with her 12-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son. Jacky heard her son say she didn't want to go on a ride because she was scared, when the reality was she was just too big to fit on the ride. Now age 42 and 304 pounds with borderline high blood pressure, Jacky looks forward to losing the weight so she'll have no limitations in life due to her size. She also wants to zip-line in Costa Rica.
