Character Bio

Councilman Marcus Kane is the Chancellor's second-in-command.
Kane is a pragmatic individual, cold and willing to do whatever he deems necessary to "save the human race". He sees everyone else as lacking what it takes to do what needs to be done. He cares little for the lives of individuals, only for the idea of the human race as a whole. Kane seems very motivated, willing to do whatever necessary to accomplish his goals. He seems to show no regard for those who stand in the way of his motives.
Kane and Callie appear to share some kind of romantic connection. Their relationship is either current or former, but Kane seems to care about her somewhat. He says to her that he cannot compromise for anything, "even her."
The Chancellor appears to be on somewhat friendly terms with Kane, but at the same time do not share trust. Jaha accuses Kane outright of trying to take his place, learning that Kane would execute Abby for saving him.
Kane and Abby are constantly at opposing views. Kane sees Abby as a threat to his goals.
