South Side follows two friends who just graduated from community college and are ready to take over the world. Comedy Central announced today that South Side has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes a month into the comedy's freshman run, which has been garnering positive feedback from both viewers and critics for its authentic and humorous look at life on Chicago's south side.
Set in the working class neighborhood of Englewood, the series follows two friends and community college grads who are ready to make a name for themselves. But until they get their act together, they're stuck working at Rent-T-Own, a retail-rental outlet where the town's cast of characters come together.
The cable network has ordered another 10 episodes for Season 2 of South Side, which will return in 2020.
