"If you can dream it, we can build it" is Red Jacket's motto. Straight shooter and avid historian Will Hayden and his eclectic crew of Baton Rouge, Louisiana gunsmiths and historians rise to the challenge daily. Trusted experts they handle the requests of customers Law Enforcement, Military and Collectors. Guns, knives, swords and cannons, Will sells, trades, buys, builds and customizes them all.
Joe Meaux, age thirty-three, is Red Jacket's one-man development department. When Will comes up with a weapon design, it's Joe's job to determine if it can be built. But typically, when Joe says "it can't be done," Will says, "let's do it." Joe grew up in Baton Rouge and attended LSU where he received a degree in General Studies. For the past twelve years, he has taught Information Technology at a local high school. His interest in mechanics and physics led to researching and building firearms as a hobby, and then led to a job with Red Jacket. Joe is also very competitive and prides himself on being a first-rate marksman. Though he once had aspirations to compete in Olympic Shooting or Biathlon, he is now content to be part of the Red Jacket team. He is a family man and loves working on old cars. He's also in the process of getting his pilot's license.
