The supernatural drama starring Tom Mison has endured a long, sad decline following its ratings and critical success in Season 1. The show declined in viewership through Seasons 2 and 3 before losing its co-lead Nicole Beharie at the end of Season 3. Most of the show's remaining fan base went with her.

Sleepy Hollow Renewed For Season 4

Fox announced today that Sleepy Hollow has been renewed for a fourth season. The good news comes on the heels of last month's finale that saw a prominent character killed off, leaving many to speculate if the show would return.
The veteran drama will be back for the 2016-2017 season despite being the network's currently-lowest-rated drama.

Sleepy Hollow Renewed For Season 3

The mystery drama will return with a new showrunner.
FOX announced today that Sleepy Hollow has been renewed for a third season. The network also named Clifton Campbell as the show's new executive producer and showrunner going forward. Campbell is best known for his previous work on cable series The Glades and White Collar.
A date for the show's return is not known at this time, but it is being reported that Season 3 will consist of 18 episodes, which matches its total for Season 2.

Turn actress Heather Lind will guest star on Season Two Of Sleepy Hollow, as Mary Wells, an old flame of Ichabod’s from England. While at first pleasant and sweet, Mary has a darker side, and will prove to be flighty, moody and prone to fits of extreme jealousy. Matt Barr (One Tree Hill) is joining Sleepy Hollow. The FOX drama is welcoming the talented TV actor as Nick Hawley for Season Two. He is described as a ruggedly handsome bounty hunter who will assist Ichabod and Abbie on a supernatural case. Also said to be adventurous, Nick Hawley will have a sense of humor, swagger and is a bit of a loner whose education is masked by a rough-and-tumble demeanor. 'Sleepy Hollow' Earns More Episodes For Season Two
There is more good news for Sleepy Hollow fans. The breakout supernatural thriller will produce at least 15 episodes for its sophomore season, with producers currently aiming for a potential total of 18 episodes. That’s five more episode than the 13-episode order fans received for Season One. Sleepy Hollow will kick off its second season sometime this fall.

Timothy Busfield To Recur On 'Sleepy Hollow'

John Noble and Lyndie Greenwood, who both played important recurring roles in Season One as Henry Parrish and Jenny Mills, respectively,have been promoted to series regulars for the show's second season. Noble's upgrade doesn't come as much of a surprise in light of his character's recent reveal. Greenwood's upgrade is also a welcome change-up, especially now that she and her sister Abbie are on much better terms. Sleepy Hollow will debut its second season this fall.

Victor Garber, one of TV's beloved humans and one spectacular Canadian, will play the Ichabod Crane's father in at least one episode this season. Though details are sparse, we can guess that Garber will appear in flashbacks. The casting news coincides nicely with the November 25th episode in which Ichabod reminisced about his father, so it'll be great to finally put a face to the memory.

Fonteno is going to be answering to a much higher power by playing the role of Reverend Boland, a Catholic Priest living in Manhattan who has seen quite a lot in his lifetime and the character has served as a longtime advisor to Orlando Jones’ Captain Frank Irving for a number of years. In fact, FOX has already granted the supernatural series a full 13-episode arc instead of the standard back-nine order, which is extremely rare for a new fall show.
