If i am not mistaken, it's because they have other programs to present or other new shows to launch.
Some of the networks are coming back with their reality shows-they cost less to pay the participants than a show with stars who command a large salary.

Whether we like or not, reality shows are not going to end. Thanks to the renewed interest in horror, crime, sci-fi themes we have good shows like this one, "Helix", "Arrow", "Intelligence", :The Tomorrow People, Supernatural and so on. "American Idol" is the number one reality show of the network that presents it- the Olympic games, The Bachelor and others. When I commute to go to work, most everybody is talking about those reality shows. So we have to wait for the ones that are in hiatus.
