An ex-pat Brit, Ray Walsman is a man of enormous though indeterminate wealth. He is a polished and charismatic operator with a breezy charm that makes him easily liked by all those drawn into his sphere — from politicians of the highest office down to the deckhands on his ocean going mega-yacht. He never forgets a name.
He wants to leave the world better for him having been there and believes he is perfectly placed to do just that. He has no queasiness about his wealth. The more money he makes, the more able he is to help those in need.
But he’d throw it all away in a heartbeat for his daughter Carly. What do riches matter to a man if he doesn’t have his family? He’s already lost his wife, which just makes him all the more protective of his daughter.
