'Orange Is The New Black' Ending With Season 7

Netflix confirmed today that Orange Is The New Black will conclude its run at the end of its already-announced seventh season. The news was posted on the show's official social media accounts with a minute-long message from cast members, who were clearly emotional about the end of their journey.
The prison dramedy premiered in 2013 as one of Netflix's first in-house series and wasted no time in putting the streaming service on the map as a destination for high-quality original content. The series has since gone on to garner numerous awards over the course of its run, with consistently-strong critical praise.
The show was last renewed in early 2016, when it was picked up for three additional seasons ahead of Season 4. Look for the seventh and final season of Orange Is The New Black in the summer of 2019.

Season six for Orange Is The New Black has finally arrived.
The new series sees the women moved to a maximum security prison, following the riot in season five and everything has changed. The group have to deal with a completely different prison dynamic, a new set of inmates and guards, plus it seems they even start to turn on one another. Orange Is The New Black streams on Netflix on July 27.

Orange Is The New Black Renewed Through Season 7

Netflix announced this morning that Orange Is The New Black has been renewed for three additional seasons. Today's pickup will see the hit prison dramedy through at least Season 7. It was also confirmed that creator Jenji Kohan, who runs and executive produces the series, will also be on-board for the duration.
In the short term, fans can look forward to Season 4 premiering on June 17.

The second season of Netflix's Orange Is the New Black hasn't even launched yet, but fans of the show, and of actress Laura Prepon, already have something else to look forward to, because Prepon will return to the show as a series regular for Season Three. Prepon will only appear in four episodes of Season Two but will be back full time in Season Three. There's only one catch though, the show has yet to be picked up for a third season, but it's pretty much a given seeing how popular the show has been. Netflix have today released the first official Orange Is the New Black Season Two trailer. It's not just the regular favorites you should expect to see, such as Taylor Schilling, Jason Biggs, Laura Prepon, and Kate Mulgrew in the trailer. There's also a newcomer added into the mix of troublemakers, Lorraine Toussaint as Yvonne “Vee” Parker, who's looking to stir up quite a bit of mayhem. Laura Prepon Will Star In Most Of The Second Season Of 'Orange Is The New Black'
Last summer, it was reported that not only would Laura Prepon barely have any presence on the second season of Netflix's hit dramedy, but that she would be leaving the show too. Then in the fall, her role was said to be bumped up to four episodes and that she was in negotiations to stick around for a potential third season. Now, according to creator Jenji Kohan, Prepon will be back for most of Season Two. The second season of Orange Is The New Black premieres sometime this year.
