Nurse Jackie Renewed For Season Seven
There is good news for Nurse Jackie fans, just two weeks ahead of the comedy's Season Six premiere, Showtime has already announced its plans to hand out an early Season Seven renewal. Unfortunately, it isn't all good news. Showtime also revealed that Peter Facinelli would not be returning, at least in a series-regular capacity. The actor asked to be released from his contract during Season Six and has already booked the lead in NBC's family political drama pilot Odyssey.
I hated the way this show ended! It was way too Sopranos-esque of a vague ending for me. Did she die? Did she live? If she did live, will she just continue this addict lifestyle forever? Many people DO break the cycle of drug addiction, and I think the fans needed to see that Jackie was one of those people. Instead, the writers chose to have Jackie fail: At life, at drug addiction, at her job, her family.
On a side note, why are all the good Showtime and HBO series ending so shitty!? Sopranos, Dexter, True Blood and now Jakie have all given me the most disappointing series finales of all time. And I had such high hopes for this one because unlike the other 3 shows I mentioned, this one managed to stay good its entire run...until the finale.

I will miss Peter facinelli, I think his character is a big part of this show, I hope the producer keep the show interesting. Good luck in his new venture.
