'Narcos: Mexico' Renewed For Season 3 Netflix announced today that Narcos: Mexico has been picked up for a third season. The good news comes eight months after the drug trade drama released its sophomore run, which again drew high critical praise.
Originally intended to be the fourth season of Narcos, the Mexico-based series was instead developed as a companion that follows the true story of the Guadalajara cartel's ascent in the 1980s Mexican drug trade. Félix Gallardo builds his drug empire in Mexico, while determined DEA agent Kiki Camarena has moved to Guadalajara to take on the cartel's dangerous kingpin.
