Two legends of British cuisine, two-times Michelin Star restauranteur and chef, Michael Caines, and Queen of home cooks and food writer, Prue Leith present a new entertaining and competitive cooking series. They will be joining forces to judge 16 pairs of entrepreneurial amateur cooks who open their own restaurant at home for one ambitious night, in a bid to scoop the £10,000 prize and the right to say, "My Kitchen Rules".
Lorraine Pascale is an English television cook and former model, best known for Baking Made Easy, My ...
At 16, Lorraine was spotted by a model scout while shopping in Covent Garden. Whisked off to New York, she's worked for some of the worlds best designers including Chanel, Lagerfeld, Galliano, Versace, and Donna Karan. She was also the first black model to grace the cover of American Elle.
While she was modeling she was thinking about her future, and what do when it was time to give up the catwalk. In between modeling jobs she did a number of job tasters, enrolling in courses to give her a flavor of different careers that she hoped would help her discover what she wanted to do with her life.
These try-outs included hypnotherapy, interior design and even car mechanics, but it was only when she enrolled on a cookery course at Leiths School of Food and Wine that she found her calling.
