Based on Stephen King's 2014 book, Many jobless people are standing in line for a job fair when a Mercedes plows into the crowd killing 8 people and severely injuring many. Bill Hodges, a recently retired detective, receives a letter from an individual claiming to be the person responsible for the job fair incident, referring to himself as "Mr.Mercedes", forcing the ex-cop to undertake a private, and potentially felonious, crusade to bring the killer to justice before he is able to strike again.
AT&T Audience Network announced today that Mr. Mercedeshas been picked up for a third season. The good news comes the month following the detective drama's sophomore run, which once again garnered a healthy amount of critical acclaim.
Based on Stephen King's bestselling novel trilogy, which consists of Mr. Mercedes, Finders Keepers, and End of Watch, the hour-long series follows a retired detective who is being taunted by a serial killer with a series of explicit letters and emails. This forces him into a private, and potentially illegal, crusade to bring his twisted tormentor to justice before he can strike again.
Look for Mr. Mercedes to return for Season 3 in 2019 with another 10 episode run.
