ABC is bringing back Match Game for a fifth season. The network announced its summer schedule today, with the panel game show pencilled in for a June 12th premiere this time around.
Match Game originally debuted way back in 1962, going on to air numerous revivals over the decades that followed. This latest update to Match Game, hosted by Alec Baldwin, premiered in 2016 as part of ABC's 'Sunday Fun & Games' block, airing in the 10:00pm hour following Celebrity Family Feud and The $100,000 Pyramid.
Typically airing in the winter months - Season 4 just ran earlier this year - Match Game is being moved to join a game show-heavy summer lineup for Season 5. The network is moving heavily towards unscripted fare for the off months of 2019. It will join the likes of Feud, Pyramid, To Tell the Truth, Press Your Luck, and Card Sharks.
