The series chronicles the unusual lives, romance and pop culture trajectory of Masters and Johnson. Their research took them from a mid-western teaching hospital in St. Louis to the cover of Time magazine.

Showtime Renews 'Masters Of Sex' For A Second Season
Showtime announced today that 'Masters of Sex,' the drama based on the dramatization of the lives of sex researchers Masters and Johnson, will return for a second season. The show will air it's new, twelve episode season sometime in 2014.
So thrilled there will be a 2nd season! I love this show - the characters, the acting, storyline, the sets, the costumes - I'm totally hooked! More please!!! :)

I remember the Civil Defense warnings and the great fear of the bomb. Frightened me as a child, but Bill Masters has no fear nor any other human reaction to people and things in his environment. It will be interesting to see if anyone or anything can soften his emotional boundaries. I don't think his wife or mother can penetrate his Teflon exterior, but Virginia might.

That's a no-brainer. The story and characters are on the quality level of the Sopranos, and The Wire. They have recreated the 50's with all the attitudes that haunt me and should haunt this country. Don't want to go back to all that. I'm disappointed that I have to wait for the next show, but glad to see there will be 12 episodes.
