TNT Cancels Frank Darabont's 'Mob City'
After only six episodes, TNT has officially cancelled its period crime drama Mob City. Over its three week run, Mob City averaged a paltry 1.68 million viewers. That number is far from good, especially when you consider the large budget Darabont was given to work with. Like with The Walking Dead, Darabont's plan was to produce this short first season, and then expand in year two. Of course, we now know that those plans won't come to fruition.
TNT's 'Mob City' Script Revealed On Twitter
TNT’s forthcoming series Mob City, a period crime drama by Frank Darabont, is hitting Twitter before it is to hit the small screen. While the premiere is set for December 4th, in two days time, the screenplay is being disclosed on Twitter today. The dark and gritty Mob City is set in 1940s Los Angeles, and follows the constant war between police and gangsters. Mob City will debut on Wednesday, December 4th on TNT at 9/8c.

Frank Darabont's upcoming mini-series 'Lost Angels' is now called 'Mob City' and the latest project from the co-creator of AMC's 'The Walking Dead' has been handed its release date Dec. 4, 2013. 'Mob City' is a six-episode series adaptation of a book by John Buntin called "L.A. Noir: The Struggle for the Soul of America's Most Seductive City."
