Show Update
Fox Cancels 'Lethal Weapon'
It is being reported that Fox has cancelled Lethal Weapon after its third season. The move was somewhat expected, as the cop drama experienced its own share of behind-the-scenes drama over the course of its run.
The series was a fairly solid performer for the network, but tension between its lead stars became a well known secret. Its future first came into serious doubt last year after star Clayne Crawford was fired over multiple alleged on-set incidents. But because of its strong numbers, Fox replaced Crawford with Seann William Scott for Season 3, coming on as a new character to partner with Damon Wayans' Roger Murtaugh.
Then last October, Wayans let it slip that he was planning to exit the show midway through Season 3. And while he later decided to sign on for three more episodes, the show was starting to feel as if it had run its course.
