A flawed and irreverent blind woman is the only "witness" to the murder of her drug-dealing friend. After the police dismiss her story, she sets out with her dog, Pretzel, to find the killer while also managing her colorful dating life and the job she hates at Breaking Blind - the guide dog school owned by her overprotective parents.
Murphy (Perry Mattfeld) and Jess (Brooke Markham) borrow the Guiding Hope van to search for Max (Casey Diedrick), leaving Felix (Morgan Krantz) in a precarious position. Meanwhile, Dean (Rich Sommer) receives some surprising news.
The CW announced today that In The Dark has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes just three episodes into the drama's run, which premiered on April 4 as a mid-season entry on the network.
The series follows a flawed, blind young woman named Murphy, whose life takes an unexpected turn when she comes across a friend's lifeless body while walking with her guide dog. But when the body disappears before the police arrive, they are reluctant to believe her story. Now Murphy is on a quest to find the truth about what really happened to her friend.
Today's renewal comes as The CW is firming up its lineup for next season. A total of 14 scripted series will be returning - with no cancellations for any of its freshman shows.
Look for Season 2 of In The Dark as part of the 2019-2020 season.
