Hark At Barker (UK)

A spoof news item is read by Barker as a continuity announcer. Then he introduces the lecture/talk to be given by Lord Rustless from his stately home, Chrome Hall. Helped and hindered by secretary Mildred Bates, Butler Badger, bad-tempered Cook, incoherent gardener Dithers and in Season 2 his buxom maid Effie. these talks usually degenerate into farce, and are interrupted by comedy sketches.

Show Update

Many of our sources say that episode S1E5 is entitled "Rustless and Murder." However Ronnie Barker's own introduction on screen
says Lord Rustless is to talk to the audience on Literature. Therefore we have titled it as "Rustless on Literature".

As Season One aired in Black&White whilst Season Two was aired in colour, characters who appear in both seasons (or just Season Two) are shown in Colour. Episode images are as aired but note that Ep S2E2 seems to have aired in b/w. (it may have been heldover from Season One)
