Melinda realizes that one of the voices is from the mother of a troubled teenage boy who is trying to reach out to her son. Faced with the challenge of trying to interpret "white noise," Melinda must figure out a way to piece together the messages from the mother and effectively communicate them to her son so she can cross over.
