The series is set in the same fictional universe as the film with a number of references made connecting the series to the film. Although each episode begins with the superimposed text: "This is a true story", this claim is completely fictional. This show offers dark humor with odd twists.

Could someone please explain the fish falling from the sky on Tuesday episode? Did I miss something that would explain that?

I hope it is yet to be explained for sure but he probably bought the fish and put in nets under trees and opened when they passed under.;
