Set in Los Angeles, after World War II, this is an anthology series that told the story of murders and the steps taken to solve them. Each episode was narrated by Fay Friendly (Lynette Walden), who would tell what was to come, typically foreshadowing the grisly events to come. The episodes were filmed to mimic the popular film noir style of the 1950s, including some episodes in black and white
