HBO announced today that Euphoria has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes four episodes into the drama's freshman run, which has so far been garnering a generous amount of critical praise.
The series premiered in June and has been performing well for the cable network. Currently ranking as its youngest-skewing drama, the show's first episode has so far been viewed by over 5.5 million people across its various platforms.
Adapted from an Israeli series of the same name, Euphoriatakes a look into the world of a group of high school students dealing with issues around friendship, love, social media, sex, and drugs. Zendaya stars as a 17-year-old drug addict who’s looking to sort her life out after returning home from rehab.
Look for Season 2 sometime in 2020.
