A sequel to ef - a tale of memories. This time it revolves around the story of Mizuki Hayama, Kei's friend, and the background of the mysterious girl Yuuko is revealed. The main male protagonists are Shuichi Kuze, Renji's friend & Yu Himura, Chihiro's caretaker, also seen in the previous adaptation. Other characters from ef - a tale of memories also make appearances, but as supporting roles.
