When Donald Duck decides to join the Navy, he leaves his nephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie, in the care of his cantankerous Uncle Scrooge. While the initial meeting was less than pleasant, events soon have them, along with a newly hired nanny, her daughter and Scrooge's stupid but skilled pilot, on countless adventures as they go around the world looking for treasure, or defending Scrooge's assets from enemies like the Beagle Boys or Magica De Spell.

Character Bio

Launchpad acted as Scrooge McDuck's personal pilot. His imposing physical stature meant that he sometimes acted as a bodyguard for Scrooge as well. He is idolized as a hero by Huey, Dewey, and Louie's friend Doofus. He comes from a family of pilots including his parents, Ripcord and Birdie, and one sister, Loopie, who perform as "The Flying McQuacks." Launchpad's propensity for crashing from a very early age forced him to run away from home in shame, feeling that he didn't meet up to his parents' standards. However, his family was always supportive of him despite his crashing and eventually he reunited with them briefly to perform in Duckburg.
