"Danger UXB" is based upon the real life memoirs of Major A.P Hartley.
The show follows the soldiers of the 97th Company of the Royal Engineers from the Blitz to D-Day. Every episode sees Lieutenant Brian Ash's section risking and sometimes giving their lives for others in situations where there is no room for error. Unfortunately only one season (of 13 Episodes) was ever aired.
Character Bio
He is an un-named character who is the Police Officer in charge of a small country town which has been festooned with butterfly bombs.
Butterfly bombs are small bombs with wings that rotate as they fall to generate electric power to arm them. Worse they do not explode on impact but wait dormant for some foolhardy or unaware citizen to move them and that movement may cause a lethal explosion.
