The concept of the show is to pair a celebrity with a professional dancer in an attempt to win a high score from a panel of three judges and then a high number of votes from the viewers, who can call in and vote online. The person who receives the lowest score is eliminated, but they are allowed to dance one last dance at the end of the show.

I am surprised that DWTS would have long-time trained professional ice dancers on the show as contestants. Ice dance isn't the exactly the same as dancing in a ballroom, but their training has included years of dancing on and off the rink. This gives them a potentially insurmountable advantage and is totally unfair to the other contestants. No way is this season operating on a level playing field.
It really never has. Do you consider it fair if a 20-35 year person old competes against a 60-80 year old person?
Does no one remember that Kristy Yamguchi, Olympic Ice Skater won DWTS a few years back? Did not hear complaints then. Plus Donnie Osmond, been dancing and performing all his life.
