CSI will conclude its run with a two-hour made for TV movie airing September 27th, 2015, Immortality, written by series creator Anthony E. Zuiker. Returning stars William Petersen, Marg Helgenberger and Paul Guilfoyle star alongside Ted Danson, Jorja Fox, Eric Szmanda, Robert David Hall, Wallace Langham, Jon Wellner, David Berman, and Elisabeth Harnois.
George Eads has reportedly opted out.

George Eads, who has played the role of CSI Nick Stokes since the series' pilot, will exit the show at the conclusion of the current season. Exclusive sources say Eads' departure was amicable and that his character's exit will be connected to the resolution of the Gig Harbor Killer case. However, it remains unclear exactly how his character will be written out of the series.

The show’ fourteenth season, which is the last to feature Paul Guilfoyle as a series regular, also features the backdoor-pilot for new spin-off CSI: Cyber which was recently picked up to series by US network CBS.
Paul Guilfoyle Leaving 'CSI' After 14 Seasons
Some sad news for loyal CSI: Crime Scene Investigation fans. Paul Guilfoyle, who is one of the last remaining original stars of the series, is exiting the forensic drama in May. For 14 years, Guilfoyle has played Captain Jim Brass, but now the character will be written out of the show come this season finale on May 7th. Sources are confirming that producer’s decided to end Brass’ storyline. Sources also report that Guilfoyle found out last week he would not be returning to the procedural.

Treat Williams (Everwood) will star in the CSI Season 14 finale. He’ll play Sam, a pioneer of forensic science who is drawn back into an old investigation about the murder of a 12-year-old.
Patricia Arquette To Star In 'CSI' Spin Off
A few weeks back it was announced that CBS was developing a new CSI spin-off focused on cyber crime. All we knew about the spin-off was that it would focus on Avery Ryan, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI's Cyber Crime Division, headquartered in Quantico, Va. Well, today CBS announced that TV and film star Patricia Arquette has signed on to step into the character's shoes, becoming the first top billed female lead in CSI franchise history. Avery Ryan is based on real life cyber psychologist Mary Aiken, who will serve as a producer.
CBS Developing New 'CSI' Spin Off On Cyber Crimes
CBS is milking the CSI franchise again, as the network has just announced that they will be returning to the hit franchise for another spin-off, this time focusing on cyber-crime. Instead of focusing the new spin-off in a new locale, as they have with previous spin-offs. The potential series will center around Avery Ryan, Special Agent in Charge at the Cyber Crime Division of the FBI in Quantico, Va. Agent Ryan will make her debut in an episode of the original CSI set to air later this season.
KISS' Gene Simmons To Guest Star On 'CSI'
KISS frontman Gene Simmons is heading to CBS' long-running procedural during the 14th season in a cameo. Simmons will be guest starring on CSI, playing himself in a rock-and-roll-themed murder mystery. Simmons will appear in the 17th episode tentatively scheduled for March 12th.
Jack Coleman To Guest Star On 'CSI'
Jack Coleman has spent the last few decades cultivating a reputation as a reliable supporting presence in the world of televised drama. The latest destination for Coleman is an upcoming episode of CBS procedural CSI. Coleman will play Jim, a good-natured, kindhearted pastor, whose world is shattered by the grisly death of his teenage daughter. CSI returns with new episodes on Wednesday, January 15th 2014 but an airdate for Coleman's appearance has yet to be announced.

'CSI' is getting an unexpected visit from Kris Polaha. The 'Life Unexpected' fave has landed a guest spot on the long-running CBS procedural. Polaha will play a charming mechanic who helps Sara, Finlay and Morgan when their car breaks down. The handyman, however, is not as harmless as he initially seems.
George Eads Returns To 'CSI'
George Eads is coming back to 'CSI.' The actor, who in August took a leave of absence from the CBS procedural after an on-set altercation with a writer, is scheduled to return for this season’s ninth episode and the episode is slated to air on November 20th.
