Crossroads returned to the ITV network in 2001 after a 13 year absence. The only characters to return from the original series were Jill Harvey, Doris Luke and Adam Chance. The series originally aired five times a week but this was cut back to four episodes from September, 2001 onwards.
The motel had been replaced from the original series by a hotel and was now being run by the Russell family.
Where do we start with this one….? Forget everything you thought you knew. Sarah Jane Harvey is not Sarah Jane Harvey – but an imposter called Louise Dixon. This is the real Sarah Jane – She must be – She can remember Doris. Anyway, the real Sarah Jane arrived just as the fake Sarah Jane was leaving King’s Oak. Well – you can’t have two Sarah Janes knocking around the place can you? Needless to say Mark Russell fell for this Sarah Jane as well and they eventually went traveling around the world on the proceeds from selling Jill’s 30% share in Crossroads to Vic Barnes.
