Crossroads returned to the ITV network in 2001 after a 13 year absence. The only characters to return from the original series were Jill Harvey, Doris Luke and Adam Chance. The series originally aired five times a week but this was cut back to four episodes from September, 2001 onwards. The motel had been replaced from the original series by a hotel and was now being run by the Russell family.
Age: 15 - Position: Pupil at King's Oak Comprehensive
What a Princess! This daddy's girl has never been denied anything, but falling in love for the first time could change all that. With the help of best friend Chloe Simms, Nicola is going to make sure that the spoilt brat stays spoilt.
She loves living in a four-star hotel and plays the role of the little madam, walking around as if she owns the place (especially the money in the till).
LATER VERSION OF BIOGRAPHY:
She’s a right little madam is our Miss Russell. Never having been denied anything in her life she’s not going to start now, and her father will make sure she gets everything she wants. Apart from Phil Berry of course.
Nicola might be spoiled, but she proved that her heart was in the right place when she went against her parents and the law to be with Phil, the love of her life. She’s also been a good mate to best friend Chloe Simms. The feisty daddy’s girl still can’t resist throwing the odd strop though, and might have to grow up a bit if she wants to hold on to her Crossroads heartthrob.
The rebellious teenager married boyfriend Phil Berry, but ended the series with amnesia after falling down some stairs. She was therefore unable to prove that Phil was innocent of killing his step-father.
