Constantine: City of Demons is an American animated web series from executive producers Greg Berlanti and David S. Goyer. It is based on the DC Comics character John Constantine, with actor Matt Ryan providing the voice, It was released on The CW's online streaming platform, CW Seed on March 24, 2018, after premiering at WonderCon 2018.

"Constantine" Special to air Following "The Arrow" Season Premier

The animated special, entitled "Constantine: The Legend Continues" will feature the voice of series star Matt Ryan. After the animated short, Matt will be hosting a sneak preview of "DC's Legends of Tomorrow," which will include interviews with the cast and producers as well as a preview of the coming season.

"DC Comics fans are still mourning the recent cancellation of NBC's "Constantine" which starred Matt Ryan as the titular occult detective — but could the character live on through another DC television series, like The CW's "Arrow"? WBTV is currently trying to find a new network home for “Constantine,”"

NBC has cancelled freshman series Constantine after one season. The drama, which is based on DC comic book series Hellblazer, aired 13 episodes as part of the network's 2014 fall schedule but failed to draw significant viewership during the course of its run.

'Constantine' Casts New Leading Lady
NBC’s Constantine has found its new leading lady. NBC have announced that Telemundo star Angelica Celaya, whose stateside credits include Dallas and Burn Notice, has been cast in the upcoming drama as Zed. A character from the original Hellblazer comic book series, Zed is a psychic who already has powers when she encounters Constantine in the TV series. Zed will replace the character Liv, played by Lucy Griffiths in the pilot. Although Liv still appears in the pilot, one scene from the episode will be reshot. Constantine premieres on NBC on Friday, October 24th at 10/9c.

Lucy Griffiths Exits 'Constantine'
Constantine has already lost its first cast member. Lucy Griffiths, the female lead in NBC’s adaptation of the DC comic Hellblazer, has exited the drama. The reports are that the show’s creators decided to move in a new direction, one that doesn’t involve Griffiths’ character, Liv, but rather than recast her, NBC will simply introduce new characters to take her place, beginning with Zed, another female character from the original comic. Constantine is set to premiere October 24th at 9/8c on NBC.

NBC's 'Constantine' Adds 'True Blood' And 'Lost' Alums To Cast
NBC has now recruited True Blood's Lucy Griffiths and Lost's Harold Perrineau to co-star in it's highly anticipated drama series Constantine. Griffiths will play the female lead, Liv, an offbeat young lady who finds herself teamed with Constantine after she is marked for death by a powerful demon. Meanwhile, Perrineau is set to portray Manny, an authoritative angel who possesses the power to step into other people’s bodies and is assigned to watch over Constantine.

NBC's Pilot 'Constantine' Casts Lead
NBC’s Constantine pilot now has it's leading man. Welsh actor Matt Ryan will play the title role in the potential series, which is an adaptation of DC Comics’ Hellblazer graphic novels. Ryan’s John Constantine is a master of the occult who’s haunted by his past but finds himself suddenly called upon to defend humanity from the gathering forces of darkness. Daniel Cerone (Dexter) penned the pilot and will executive-produce the project with David Goyer (Batman Begins) and Warner Bros. Television.

NBC Orders 'Constantine' Pilot
NBC has ordered Constantine to pilot. Based on the long-running Vertigo comic series Hellblazer. The story follows title character John Constantine, a cynical, emotionally damaged occult detective that is driven by a desire to redeem his past sins by fighting evil and helping those in need. While details about the specifics of the TV version are scarce, we do know that current The Mentalist and former Dexter producer Daniel Cerone will serve as an executive producer on and handle scripting duties for the pilot. David S. Goyer will also executive produce.
