Brooklyn Nine-Nine
An ensemble comedy about a talented-but-carefree detective Jake Peralta, a by-the-book police captain and their precinct colleagues. While based in the workplace, Brooklyn Nine-Nine is not really about the job – it's about the men and women behind the badge.
Show Update
'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Ending After Season 8
It was announced today that Brooklyn Nine-Nine will be coming to an end after its upcoming eighth season. The sad news comes over a year after the veteran comedy was last renewed. Series co-creator Dan Goor posted a heartfelt note to fans on the show's Twitter account, expressing gratitude that it lasted as long as it did. By the time the show wraps, it will have 153 episodes under its belt - quite an impressive run for a comedy.
Led by Saturday Night Live alum Andy Samberg, Brooklyn Nine-Nine follows an offbeat group of detectives and staff at the 99th precinct of the New York Police Department. Samberg plays the eclectic Jake Peralta, a talented but immature detective whose carefree style clashes with his stern, by-the-books captain, played by Andre Braugher.
