Bless the Harts follows a group of Southerners who are always broke as a joke and struggling for the American dream of status and wealth. What they don’t realize is that they’re already rich - in friends, family and laughter.
When Jenny enters Wayne into the Greenpoint barbecue festival without his permission, nothing about his cooking goes as planned; Violet tries to deal with the moral dilemma of eating meat; Betty runs into an old fling.
Fox announced today that Bless the Harts has been picked up for Season 2. The renewal, which comes three weeks into the animated comedy's run, makes it the first of the fall's freshman class to earn a second season.
Airing as part of the network's Animation Domination block on Sunday nights at 8:30pm, the series has garnered generally-positive feedback but has struggled to find a sizeable audience early in its run. This past Sunday's airing saw it garner lower viewership and ratings than its lineup-mates The Simpsons, Bob's Burgers, and Family Guy.
Bless the Harts follows the Hart family, who are Southerners that are consistently broke in terms of the money they have, but rich in many other ways. They all long for the American dream of financial success, in the meantime they always have family, friends, and laughter - and that might just be everything they need.
Look for Season 2 to premiere in the fall of 2020.
