Blankety Blank was first shown in 1979 and has been hosted by Mr Wogan, Les Dawson and Lily Savage. Contestants would play against each other and try and fill in the blanks in a sentence to match those of the celebrity guests. The winner would walk away with a fabulous holiday but everyone received the infamous Blankety Blank Cheque Book and Pen.
