Originally titled Baa Baa Black Sheep, the series focused on Squadron 214 in the South Pacific. The unit was composed of men who were almost court-martialed before Major Gregory "Pappy" Boyington took them in. Basically, as long as the men could fly and do their job, Pappy couldn't care less about what else they did or had previously done.
