Travel back to October 19, 1987 - aka Black Monday, the worst stock market crash in the history of Wall Street. To this day, no one knows who caused it … until now. This is the story of how a group of outsiders took on the blue-blood, old-boys club of Wall Street and ended up crashing the world’s largest financial system, a Lamborghini limousine and the glass ceiling.
Showtime announced today that Black Monday has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes a month after the conclusion of the comedy's freshman run, which ended up with decidedly mixed reviews.
The half-hour series is named after Monday, October 19, 1987, which was the date of the worst stock market crash in Wall Street's history. The show follows a group of outsiders who went up against the blue-blood, old boys club of Wall Street and ended up crashing the world's largest financial system.
Production on Season 2 of Black Monday is slated to begin later this year for an expected return in early 2020.
