In the frontier town of Nome, Alaska, there’s a gold rush on. But you’ve never seen gold mining like this before — here, the precious metal isn’t found in the ground. It’s sitting in the most unlikely of places: the bottom of the frigid, unpredictable Bering Sea. And there are a handful of people willing to risk it all to bring it to the surface.
After enduring a disappointing dredging season and the tragic loss of his best friend and partner, John Bunce, Zeke dove into last year's ice season headfirst.
Even though the Clark retrieved 75.5 ounces of gold, Zeke was desperate for a break. He traveled to New Orleans, where he met his girlfriend, Sarah. The two came back to Nome last summer, but Zeke was not ready to mine. After some scrapes with the law, Zeke took a mental health break for the remainder of the season.
Now, he and Glen are right back at it, and Zeke is prepared for the work ahead. What's more, he's put his trouble with the law behind him. This season, Nome's most passionate dredger is ready to do what he does best.
