'Batwoman' Renewed For Season 3
The CW announced today that Batwoman has been renewed for a third season. The good news comes three episodes into the drama's sophomore run, which got off to a later than normal start due to the ongoing pandemic.
Set in the same universe as The CW's other superhero shows, Batwoman takes place years after Batman mysteriously disappeared from Gotham, leaving the city to fall into despair. When the Alice in Wonderland gang wreaks havoc, Kate Kane returns home to help her city, becoming the dark knight vigilante known as Batwoman.
Original star Ruby Rose departed the series after Season 1, but the show found a new lead in Javicia Leslie, who plays an undisciplined fighter who becomes the new Batwoman after find the batsuit in the wreckage of a plane crash.
Look for Season 3 of Batwoman to premiere as part of the 2021-2022 television season.
