Season 3 Unlikely For Aquarius

It looks like the end of the road could be near for NBC's Aquarius. The ratings-challenged David Duchovny drama is once again being relegated to Saturdays, as it was during its first season. This time around, however, the network is not so optimistic for Season 3.
Fans of Aquarius will remember that back in Season 1, NBC bumped the freshman series over to Saturday nights eight episodes into its run. And while the move was made to offset falling ratings, the show had already been handed an early second-season renewal after a promising start.
The network kept its word and brought the series back for Season 2, which premiered this June on Thursday nights. Once again, though, ratings were disappointing, prompting this latest move to Saturdays, which begins after the Olympics on August 27.

NBC Renews Aquarius

NBC announced today that Aquarius has been renewed for a second season. The freshman 1960's-set drama is currently four episodes into its debut run on the network, but the entire season has already been made available online, making it the first broadcast series to be streamed in its entirety after its premiere.
The summer show has been drawing decent ratings for NBC thus far, picking up favorable praise along the way and earning a nomination for a Critic's Choice Television Award in the Most Exciting New Series category.
Look for Season 2 of Aquarius in 2016.
