Show Update
VH1 Revives America's Next Top Model
VH1 has announced that it has revived America's Next Top Model, which was cancelled by The CW late last year after 22 cycles. The veteran modeling competition will continue on the cable network for a 23rd cycle, though creator Tyra Banks will not be returning to her hosting and judging duties. Banks will, however, remain an executive producer of the series.
America's Next Top Model originally premiered on UPN in 2003, moving to The CW in 2006 where it remained a prime time staple for 10 more years. While its ratings tapered off over time, the show retained a loyal core audience and kept things fresh with format chances such as themed seasons that started in 2011.
There are no details of what ANTM will look like when it re-appears on VH1. A new host, judging panel, and any format changes will all be announced at a later date. 14 episodes have been ordered for Cycle 23 but a premiere date is also yet to be determined.
