America has talent -- and Simon Cowell is determined to find it. Each of the contestants, chosen at casting calls around the nation, will have a chance to prove that they have talent in front of judges and America. The winner, chosen by viewers, will receive the opportunity to headline a showcase Las Vegas act.
Auditions continue as variety acts of all types and contestants of all ages audition for the chance to win the $1 million prize; the Golden Buzzer is still in play for one more lucky act to go directly to the Live Shows in Los Angeles.
NBC has handed out an early renewal to America's Got Talentfor Season 15. The news was announced today as part of the network's 2019-2020 schedule, securing the veteran talent competition's spot in its lineup for next summer.
On the air since 2006, America's Got Talent still maintains its position as the summer's top-rated series, regularly besting its time slot competition year after year. The brand even expanded with a Champions edition that premiered in January, and will be returning for a second season next year.
But before all that, Season 14 of AGT is set to premiere later this month. With it comes some changes, as outgoing host Tyra Banks will be replaced by Terry Crews, who hosted the Champions edition. Mel B and Heidi Klum have also departed and will be replaced by new judges Julianne Hough and Gabrielle Union, who will join Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel.
